Volunteering?
Here’s how you can help!
Volunteers are at the heart of everything we do.
If you’re looking for a meaningful way to give back to your community, we’d love to hear from you!
We offer an information session to help you learn more about the Oromocto Food Bank and our policies, followed by training tailored to the volunteer role that best matches your skills and interests. You may also be invited to join us for a trial shift to see if it’s a good fit.

We value volunteers who can commit to a regular schedule, whether that’s weekly or monthly. While we understand that life includes family time and vacations, our ability to serve the community relies on the dedication of those who help fill our calendar.
Join our team and make a difference — one shift at a time!
Our volunteer opportunities include:
- Food Distribution (sorting food, filling shelves, packing food hampers, heavy lifting & footwear required)
- Garden (planting, weeding, watering, harvesting, cleaning and prep for distribution)
- Tours (helping with guided tours),
- Board Committee Meetings (several opportunities available)
- and we are always recruiting Board Members. Our Board meet regularly on a Tuesday at 3:00 once a month.
Don’t see something that fits you? That’s fine! Get in touch and we’ll see if we can put your skills to work elsewhere.
